Tragedy in Dyer County: All Four Missing Family Members Found Deceased After Infant Left in Stranger’s Yard

Dyer County, Tennessee — A heartbreaking tragedy has unfolded in Dyer County as all four individuals reported missing — Adrianna Williams, Matthew Wilson, Cortney Rose, and Braydon Williams — have been confirmed deceased as of July 30, 2025.

The disturbing chain of events began on the afternoon of July 29, when a resident living along Old Highway 20 near the Tigrett community placed a 911 call after discovering an infant in a car seat left in their front yard. Authorities responded immediately and identified the child as the daughter of Adrianna and Matthew. Thankfully, the baby was found to be physically unharmed and is now safe.

However, the discovery sparked immediate concern from family and friends. Loved ones insisted something was terribly wrong, emphasizing that Adrianna and Matthew would never willingly abandon their child. That fear, sadly, was justified.

The last known contact with any of the missing adults came from Matthew’s mother, who said she spoke to him at 6:43 a.m. on July 29 while he was driving home from work at Big River Steel.

Law enforcement agencies quickly launched a search, issuing a bulletin that the individuals might be traveling in a late-1980s Ford pickup with a white stripe, a black 2008 Dodge Charger, or a small white SUV. Despite the widespread alert, the search ended in sorrow when all four were discovered dead under circumstances yet to be publicly disclosed.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the cause or location of the deaths, and an active investigation is ongoing. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office are asking anyone with information to contact them immediately at (731) 285-2802 or dial 911.

The incident has left the community stunned and grieving, and many are now turning their thoughts and prayers toward the baby girl — a child who has now lost both parents, her grandmother, and her uncle in a single tragic event.

As investigators work to determine what happened in the final hours before the tragedy, locals and social media users alike are demanding answers and calling for justice in what many are calling one of the most chilling and heartbreaking cases in recent Tennessee memory.
